2019 SUMMER PROGRAMME
WELCOME TO THE 2019 SUMMER PROGRAMME
The coach bookings all fall when the schools are off so we can use Northwick Road, the Lodges for the parking and pick up. Reports of the new Aerospace Museum in Filton have been good, but combining this with Clifton.
The NIAG will host us for a tour in August, plus a visit to Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s amazing re-modelled house for Bassett-Lowke (several of his famous train models on show).
Members have generously agreed to host trips for us, so Bill Lambert will run two visits (pleas book one only, limited numbers, with additional dates if filled) to Tardibigge the lime kilns. Previous guide, Julian Hunt visits the Leasowes and Halesowen and Tim Bridges is giving us his tour or Victorian and Arts & Crafts South Birmingham.
I look forward to seeing many of you on these trips over the coming summer.
Mike H, Summer Programme Secretary
the admin bit:
1. (Trial) One payment by BACS (Internet banking): Please contact the Treasurer for bank account and reference. Write "Paid by BACS" on the booking form. Your booking is firm only when payment received.
2. Individual cheques for each trip (preferred): Cheques will usually be banked a couple of weeks before each trip
3. One cheque combining several trips: Please write on the back of the cheque all the trips it covers. Cheques will usually be banked a couple of weeks before the first trip.
4. Cash is accepted for those trips that are "pay on the day" as these are usually small amounts. Please bring the correct change! And do not send cash through the post.
Bookings cancelled less than 7 days of the trip will not be refunded (unless there are extenuating circumstances).
For coach trips, pick-up is on Northwick Road by the Lodge Recreation ground.
Non-members are welcome to join us for a supplement of £2 extra per visit. This covers day membership, which allows visitors to be covered by our Group Insurance.
For non-members wishing to join a membership form can be submitted together with the bookings to avoid the additional £2 non-members fee. However, a separate payment is required for the membership fee, which with your details will be passed on to the Membership Secretary.
Print out the trips you wish to book (from the printable document available on the button above), fill in and detach the booking slips and send them to the Summer Programme Co-ordinator;
